What is the objective/purpose of this Masjid?

To build a Community Mosque which will include a water pump in Bangladesh, Moulvibazar to act as a community hub for local residence as well as travellers In-Sha’Allah.

Why a Masjid?

A masjid is at the heart of every Muslim community, a place where the knowledge of Islam will be shared, providing a safe place and environment for worshipers to pray and contemplate for years to come

What are the benefits of building a Masjid?

Building a masjid is one of the best forms of Sadaqah Jariya (continuous reward) in this life and the hereafter. “When a person dies, then his good deeds stope except for three; a Sadaqah Jariyah, beneficial knowledge and a righteous child”

How was the location selected?

Having been approached by local residence within our parents/ancestral village, it was brought to our attention that a Masjid was much needed within the local area. The Masjid will be built near a market place therefore will benefit not only local residence but the hundreds of workers and travellers within that location.

How did you acquire land and permission for the Masjid?

The land belongs to Ayaan’s grandad which was inherited by his father and family. Ayaan’s family have generously donated the land in honour of Ayaan’s memory for this masjid to be built on.

Who will benefit from this project?

The masjid will provide a place of worship and clean water to local residence, workers and travellers who will require access to these facilities.

How will my money be spent?

Money raised will go towards building the mosque and water pump.

What is your donation policy?

We are committed to providing 100% donation policy. Any personal expenses on behalf of the trustees will be self-funded

Will you have women’s facility?

The Masjid is being built so that there can be two levels built which will give us ample of opportunity to expand in future. For the immediate resolution we will be providing partition to segregate as and when there are female worshippers in attendance.

What other facilities will the masjid provide?

Our main purpose will be to provide facilities for prayers but our intentions are to expand and provide other facilities and services such as Arabic classes, learning and developments such as sewing lessons, access to religious and educational books as well as lectures.

What is the long-term plan Ayaan Jamia Masjid Trust?

As we progress in the development of Ayaan Jamia Masjid, we will also be running small appeals simultaneously alongside the build of the masjid such as our Ramadan appeal 2021. Our aim will then be to expand using Ayaan Jamia Masjid as a community hub to support local charities such as orphanages as well as providing relief to local families suffering from poverty.

Who are we?

We are a small family run charity trust who are passionate about helping as many people as we can starting with a small community within our ancestral village who are in need of support. We have close connection with various trusted volunteers to facilitate the running of our projects.

Who are the Trustees?

The trustees are parents of Ayaan Hussain: Jamal and Nargis Hussain along with appointment of a third trustee Mr MD Moynul Hussain.

Are you a registered charity?

We are currently in the process of submitting our application to become a registered charity. However due to COVID-19 there has been delays. Despite these delays we are working hard and are excited to become a registered charity.

Will you claim gift aid?

We will only be able to claim gift aid from those who give permission to do so. If you have donated and you are happy for us to claim gift aid on your donations please email us on ayaanjamiamasjid@gmail.com
